about IACES

Irving and Associates (IA) Character Education Services, Inc. 501 c 3 non-profit charitable organization established in 2008 is organized to provide educational services to schools and community programs nationwide through face to face interactions. More specifically, the corporation seeks to enhance the moral fiber of youth and young adults through activities to encourage them to make better choices in life. Three objectives of Irving and Associate are to 1) strengthen ethical commitment, 2) design character building activities and 3) enhance skills to become self-sufficient. The organization focuses on the importance of education by providing structured activities that involve active participation and making a positive difference in the community. The early learners or young adults who engage in the activities are exposed and equipped with the knowledge, skills and understanding to become self-sustained in society. “I will prepare and someday my chance will come.” Abraham Lincoln

Our current global economy requires that all of our population is literate and has strong character. “One child in four grows up not knowing how to read.” … 85 percent of juvenile delinquents are functionally or marginally illiterate (Literary Statistics, UNICEF).

The Right Fit? A Read to Excel Overview

The Read to Excel program will challenge children to read and give individual attention to each child. Lessons will be designed to engage students to read about real world experiences that include various themes (i.e. financial literacy, animals, plants, transportation, geography etc.). Students will engage in hands on exercises and read more related to the selected themes to become experts on the topic. Parents/guardians are expected to participate in periodic reading events with their children. The program will be held after school, on Saturdays and during summer camps.
